About Us
I have been an Alaskan since 1949, where I traveled at age five with my parents to live. My family pioneered in several areas of Alaska, finally settling in Tok, where we have lived for many years. Having lived a holistic lifestyle I have always been interested in preserving this influence in everything I do. This is carefully carried through to my choice of businesses. My dogs are bred to be very healthy and useful, still being able to do the tasks they were created for. It is my intent that they will help to preserve a more natural lifestyle.
I have always been interested in woodworking and using renewable resources to make useful products. My inherited artistic ideas influences the log furniture structures. My Son who is doing much of the rootform furniture pieces is lending his inherent artistic ability to this work. While our furniture business is in the beginning stages at this time we will adding more items to our current line. We believe that the unique type of wood that we use and our artistic approach will create log furniture that you will not be able to find anywhere else.
Our business is located near Tok Alaska at mile 1318.5 of the Alaska highway. Tok is a very small community of approximately 1,500 residents. It is the first stop along the highway to Alaska for anyone driving to our state and is a popular tourist stop after the long trip to Alaska. While it is located on the highway system it is considered by most to be a remote community, being several hundred miles from a larger town.
